For years the name Anja Gockel has been synonymous with fashion for the self-confident, strong and politically thinking woman. So it was not surprising this year that the designer interfered in current zeitgeist themes and wanted to make a political statement with her collection alongside all the fashion. Gockel wishes for respectful, equal treatment, independent of gender. And so she called her new collection, which she presented in the lobby of the Hotel Adlon Kempinski, “EVE” for short: Empowerment + Vision + Equality. “I want to strengthen the woman with my clothes in order to realize her individual visions of life. As women, we have a responsibility to follow our charism and act according to our talents,” says Gockel.

On the catwalk, the models presented the transformation to EVE with generous silhouettes, strong colors and rousing music. The designer combined sculptural forms with feminine prints, draped several layers of different materials into a harmonious composition. EVE also stands for determination, the free spirit of woman and curiosity and desire for the future.

Together with her partners Daddy’s Daughters (cashmere sweaters), Braun Büffel (leather bags) and Catherine Nail Collection, designer Anja Gockel presented a sophisticated but extremely harmonious collection that will whet the appetite for the coming summer. The audience also saw this and acknowledged the designer’s appearance and her collection with a thunderous applause.
